COMING SOON
In the stresses of life and trying to make everything a teachable moment it’s easy to snuff out the sparks that seem childish, silly, hokey, or irrelevant… but that’s where  joy can live. It was important that we made space for sparks of joy to burn and even stoked, even if the moments of joy felt cringe and awkward.
Using dried out markers I found joy in reclaiming them as watercolors. Applying the colors in judgment free fashion, allowing the colors and paint to flow over the canvas without the focus of making it look good, instead focused on the action and feeling. Then framed with shiny bits of rubbish, that sparkle, shine and catch the light.
