Part of "Processing Parenthood" a working series - We would often use the phrase "it's small potatoes" to remind ourselves what was important to get upset or worry about. This group of small potatoes on a table with two large eggs acts a reminder of this phase. It's painted on a reclaimed framed painting of bird on a flowering branch which represents working with what's available; a preexisting world, recycling and reincarnation. A majority of the original painted is masked by the new paint, aiding in symbolism of going from adult to parent.
