Part of "Processing Parenthood" a working series - We would often use the phrase "it's small potatoes" to remind ourselves what was important to get upset or worry about. This group of small potatoes on a table with two large eggs acts a visual reminder of the phrase. Painted on a reclaimed framed painting of a bird on a flowering branch, a majority of the original painted is masked by the new image; taking a preexisting world (and object) and shifting the view marking the transition from adult to parent.
