I used chipboard I had painted with watercolors as a child (around 10 years old). The aged painting provided the perfect background for a gradient of painted red dots with blue conte crayon line, red marker and ink to create tulips. It embodies the joyous feeling of when spring flowers come out of the melted snow. Created during Shoebox Arts "Call and Response: Collaboration at a Distance : Round 12"
